2024 WR Cameran Loyd Commits To Jacksonville State

Class of 2024 wide receiver Cameran Loyd of Marietta, Georgia announced his commitment to Jacksonville State on X last night.

He spoke with me about why he chose the Gamecocks:

“When I went up there for a visit, it felt like home for me. A great culture is being built and also being led by Coach Rodriguez shows that this program is being taken in a good direction.”

I also asked him what type of player is Jax State getting. His response:

“Jax State is getting an electric player who can play both slot and outside receiver, and can capitalize off mis-matches; as well as run away from defenders and great route running.”

He chose the Gamecocks over offers from UTEP, Navy, Bethune-Cookman, Austin Peay, Charleston Southern, and more.

Loyd is an All-Region 7A wideout from Walton High School (GA). He recorded 1,600 all purpose yards (1,483 receiving) and 15 touchdowns during his senior season in 2023.
