UCLA Wins 1st NCAA WBB Tournament Title In School History

On Sunday, a historic milestone was reached for the UCLA Bruins as they claimed their first NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament title in program history. They defeated South Carolina in the National Championship game, 79-51. Gabriela Jaquez scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Lauren Betts had 14 points and 11 rebounds, both achieving double-doubles. Bruins’ head coach Cori Close, who has dedicated 15 years building this program, is now a national champion.
