NATION’S LEADING SCORER TA’NIYA COMMITS TO SOUTH CAROLINA

Coach Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks received a massive commitment from the No. 1 transfer portal prospect, Ta’Niya Latson, a dynamic 5’8” guard from Florida State. She led the NCAA in scoring for the 2024-25 season, averaging 25.2 points per game. The 3X All-ACC 1st team selection announced her decision to transfer on social media early Tuesday afternoon.

She will now be reunited with her former high school teammate Raven Johnson, who announced on social media that she’s returning to South Carolina for another year. Latson and Johnson played together at Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia, and won two state titles while on the same team.
